DPB11-SLD3-SLD2 DNA replication complex Overview

GO Annotations consist of four mandatory components: a gene product, a term from one of the three Gene Ontology (GO) controlled vocabularies (Molecular Function, Biological Process, and Cellular Component), a reference, and an evidence code.

Summary
Associate with replication origins and promotes loading of DNA polymerases onto the origins to initiate chromosomal DNA replication when cyclin-dependent kinase activity increases at the G1/S cell cycle boundary. May play an active role in assembly or activation of the replication fork CMG helicase (CPX-297) thus playing a role in a critical S phase regulatory mechanism that restricts DNA replication to S phase. Interaction of the complex with with single-stranded DNA may be important for GINS attachment to MCM.
GO Slim Terms

The yeast GO Slim terms are higher level terms that best represent the major S. cerevisiae biological processes, functions, and cellular components. The GO Slim terms listed here are the broader parent terms for the specific terms to which this gene product is annotated, and thus represent the more general processes, functions, and components in which it is involved.
