Powers T  (2004) Ribosome biogenesis: giant steps for a giant problem. Cell 119(7):901-2

Abstract: In this issue of Cell, the Hall group describes how the rapamycin-sensitive TOR signaling network controls ribosomal protein (RP) gene expression via the Forkhead-like transcription factor FHL1 in budding yeast . These findings represent a crucial advance in our understanding of the mechanism by which TOR regulates ribosome biogenesis in response to environmental cues.
