Deehan R and Heald R (2004) Centromere glue provides spindle cue. Cell 118(5):529-30
Abstract: During cell division, accurate distribution of the genome by the mitotic spindle requires that sister chromatids remain tethered until the right moment. Studies of an uncharacterized vertebrate protein, Sgo (Salic et al., 2004 [this issue of Cell]), reveal dual roles as a chromosome cohesion factor and a regulator of spindle microtubule dynamics.
