2013-11-26The standard name of ORF YIL144W was changed from TID3 (Two-hybrid Interaction with Dmc1p) to NDC80 (Nuclear Division Cycle) after obtaining consensus on the name change from researchers who have published information regarding this gene. The change was suggested because the NDC80 name is used almost exclusively in the literature for both the yeast gene and orthologs.
