Nomenclature History Notes
DateNote
2003-12-09PHO2 has been used to refer to both PHO2/YDL106C, which encodes a transcription factor, and OLI1/Q0130, the mitochondrial gene encoding an ATP synthase subunit.

Coruzzi G, et al.  (1978) Assembly of the mitochondrial membrane system: mutations in the pho2 locus of the mitochondrial genome of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Eur J Biochem 92(1):279-87
2003-12-09OLI1 has been used to refer to both OLI1/Q0130, the mitochondrial gene encoding an ATP synthase subunit, and PDR1/YGL013C, which encodes a transcription factor.
Mapping Notes
DateNote
1998-11-10Edition 15: The oli1 gene has also been known as pho2 and OR1. The oli1 locus should not be confused with the grf10 locus on Chromosome IV, which has also been called pho2. Also, the oli1 locus should not be confused with the PDR1 locus on Chromosome VII, which has also been called oli1.
