Nomenclature History Notes
2004-06-15NCE2 has been used in the literature to refer to both NCE102/YPR149W (Cleves, AE. et al. (1996) J. Cell Biol. 133:1017; PMID:8655575), which encodes a protein of unknown function involved in non-classical protein export, and NCE2 (Dohrmann, PR. (1996) Mol. Cell. Biol. 16:1746; PMID:8657150), a genetically defined unmapped locus involved in the regulation of CTS1 expression.
Mapping Notes
1997-10-20Edition 14: NCE102 has also been called NCE2, but should not be confused with NCE2, a negative regulator of CTS1 expression
