Mapping Notes
DateNote
1998-11-10Edition 15: The S288C sequences at the MAL11 locus have also been called AGT1 and MAL11-2, and encode an alpha-glucoside transporter with broad substrate specificity. MAL11-1 (MAL1T) is from strain 4059 and is approximately 70% identical to MAL11/AGT1 and nearly identical to MAL61 from S. carlsbergenesis strains JM1901 and CB11; it functions as a maltose and turanose transporter with narrower substrate specificity than MAL11/AGT1
