2000-05-19RPL11B has previously been called RPL16B but should not be confused with YNL069C, which encodes ribosomal protein L16B; RPL11A and RPL11B are nearly identical. These changes were based on the nomenclature for the cytoplasmic ribosomal proteins of Saccharomyces cerevisiae by Mager et al. 1997.
