| 2011-01-06 | This gene was originally named as TFP1. This name was changed to VMA1 (Vacuolar Membrane Atpase) based on a request from the community. The rationale being that the VMA acronym reflects the role of this gene as a vacuolar membrane ATPase and the VMA acronym will unify the nomenclature of vacuolar membrane ATPase genes. |
