| RAD16 | Game, J. (1989) Personal Communication, Mortimer Map Edition 10 |
| Nomenclature History Notes | |
|---|---|
| Date | Note |
| 2003-02-27 | There is a typographical error in PMID:7553931 (Paesi-Toresan SO et al, Current Genetics, 1995, 27(6), 493-495). The first sentence in the abstract of this paper should read pso5-1 and not pos5-1. SGD has confirmed this error with the authors of the paper. Hence RAD16(PSO5)/YBR114W should not be confused with POS5/YPL188W. |
| 2004-06-15 | POS5 has been used in the literature to refer to both RAD16/YBR114W (Paesi-Toresan SO., et al. (1995) Curr. Genet 27:493; PMID:7553931 typographical error in abstract reads pos5-1 but should read pso5-1), which encodes a DNA-dependent ATPase, and POS5/YPL188W, which encodes a mitochondrial NADH kinase. |

| Date | Note |
| 1989-10-01 | Edition 10: rad16 is 35 cM from lys2 |
| Mortimer RK, et al. (1989) Genetic map of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, edition 10. Yeast 5(5):321-403 | |
| 1992-10-01 | Edition 11: rad16 is tentatively placed proximal to lys2; the one tetratype ascus between these two genes was parental ditype for lys2-tyr1. Physical mapping also places this gene proximal to lys2 |
