ALTERNATIVE PROCESSING NOTE

NameRelevanceDescription
YMR147WAlternative processingRNA sequencing data from Yassour et al. 2009 suggest that following heat shock, there is an intron that connects the YMR147W ORF to the 5' UTR of the YMR148W ORF. The new isoform comprises a combination of both ORFs plus part of the intervening intergenic region. The novel transcription unit is not detected under normal growing conditions. The new protein has orthologs in S. paradoxus, S. mikatae, and S. bayanus.
