GO term: cyclin-dependent protein serine/threonine kinase activity Help

Ontology: Molecular Function (GO:0004693)

Definition: Catalysis of the reactions: ATP + protein serine = ADP + protein serine phosphate, and ATP + protein threonine = ADP + protein threonine phosphate. This reaction requires the binding of a regulatory cyclin subunit and full activity requires stimulatory phosphorylation by a CDK-activating kinase (CAK).

Synonyms: ATP:cyclin phosphotransferase activity; cdc2 kinase activity; CDK; CDK activity; CDK, catalytic subunit activity; cdk-activating kinase activity; Cdk-activating protein kinase activity; cyclin D-cdk6 kinase activity; cyclin D-dependent kinase activity; cyclin E kinase activity; cyclin-A associated kinase activity; cyclin-dependent kinase 6 activity; cyclin-dependent kinase activity; cyclin-dependent kinase-2 activity; cyclin-dependent kinase-4 activity; cyclin-dependent protein kinase, intrinsic catalyst activity; D-type cyclin kinase activity; neuronal cdc2-like kinase activity; cyclin-dependent protein kinase activity
